We wanted to share with you our key ingredients, so you can see what makes Vitimum so special. We chose organic ingredients for our plant based multi source protein.

Baobab
What is it? Baobab is a tree native to certain regions of Africa, Arabia, Australia and Madagascar.
What are the health benefits of baobab? Powdered baobab contains many important nutrients but is especially high in vitamin C, vitamin B6, niacin, iron and potassium. * Baobab is high in fibre and has been shown to reduce feelings of hunger which could promote weight loss. Because of its high fibre content, baobab may also help slow the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream.
Why did we choose it? Baobab is widely recognised as a superfood. It is also Baobab is “wild-harvested”, which means it is taken from its natural environment and dried naturally.*
Chia seeds
What is it? Chia seeds are small edible seeds of a flowering plant in the mint family native to central and southern Mexico.* Fun fact, did you know, chia is the ancient Mayan word for “strength”.*
What are the health benefits of chia seeds? Chia seeds contain large amounts of fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, as well as plenty of high-quality protein and several essential minerals and antioxidants. *
Why did we choose it? Chia Seeds are among the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which have numerous health benefits - therefore, are a great alternative to fish oil.
Flaxseed
What is it? Flaxseed comes from the flax plant. It likely was first grown in Egypt but has been cultivated all around the world and is now a common pantry staple.*
What are the health benefits of flaxseed? Flaxseed is a good source of many nutrients. Just one serving provides a good amount of protein, fibre, and omega-3 fatty acids, thiamine, and copper. Flaxseed is also an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 fatty acid that’s important for heart health and found primarily in plant foods.*
Why did we choose it? Simply, it delivers so many nutrients with such a delicious taste. It has a mild, nutty flavour and crisp, flaxseed is such a versatile ingredient that enhances the taste and provides a significant nutrients boost.
Lucuma
What is it? Lucuma is the fruit of the Pouteria lucuma tree native to South America. Lucuma can be eaten raw but is most commonly found in a dried, powdered supplement form that’s often used as a natural sweetener. *
What are the health benefits of? Lucuma is rich in antioxidants, such as carotenoids and polyphenols, which may offer protection against various conditions, including diabetes and heart disease. *
Why did we choose it? Lucuma adds a very subtle taste. Compared to other sweeteners, lucuma powder is low in sugar and rich in fibre and antioxidants, which makes it a more nutritious choice than most.
Pea protein
What is it? Pea protein is a high-quality protein, usually sourced from yellow peas.
What are the health benefits of pea protein? It is naturally high in Iron. It can aid muscle growth, weight loss and heart health.*
Why did we choose it? Pea protein powder is naturally vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and does not contain any of the top food allergens,* peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, cow’s milk, wheat and soy.*
Pea protein also blends well with water and has a less gritty or chalky texture than other plant-based protein powders like hemp.*
Pumpkin
What is it? Yes, you may know pumpkin well, but did you know pumpkin is scientifically a fruit, as it contains seeds.
What are the health benefits of Pumpkin? Pumpkin is high in vitamins and minerals while being low in calories. It’s also a great source of beta-carotene, a carotenoid that your body converts into vitamin A.* Pumpkin contains the antioxidants alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, beta-cryptoxanthin and many others, which may protect your cells against damage by free radicals.*
Why did we choose it? Although it is an important ingredient, it is able to deliver quality nutrition without compromising on taste. You wouldn’t know it as in there if we hadn’t had told you!
