Can I drink Vitimum if I'm breastfeeding?
Yes, Vitimum Original is designed for new mothers, whether or whether not they are breastfeeding.
What is the ingredient list?

Please see ingredients listed in bold. This product is made in a facility that also processes foods containing gluten, soy, milk, eggs and crustaceans.
Can I take Vitimum with my prenatal supplements?
As Vitimum Original contains all the same vitamins as your prenatal supplement (such as folic acid, vitamin D, iron, etc.) you do not need to take them both on the same day. We recommend having one or the other, or alternating.
How long can I take Vitimum Original for?
As long as you want! Some of customers are working Mothers, with toddlers, who take Vitimum to help get them through their busy days!
Is this a weight-loss drink?
Here at Vitimum, we believe that new mothers should be focusing on their overall well-being, rather than weight-loss. Vitimum Original is designed to help new mothers, and pregnant women., to ensure they are getting the nutrients they need.
Can Vitimum Original be consumed during Pregnancy?
Yes! Vitimum Original has been designed specifically for pregnant women and mothers, and is perfectly safe if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Our product undergoes though laboratory testing to make sure it is of the highest quality and safest standard. Read more about our standards here.
Does Vitimum Original contain Folic Acid or Folate?
Vitimum Original contains folate, but in the synthetic form folic acid. Why, because this is what is recommended by the NHS and by the European Union Register of Health and Nutrition claims. Having spoken to some of our customers, we are aware some have a preference for organic form folate, which is why we will use folate in our next product line – stay tuned!
What is your environmental and sustainability policy?
We are committed to reduce our environmental impact where possible, and are continuously looking to innovate more products sustainability. Any flyers we use are always on recycled materials. Rather than going for individual servings, we have chosen for one large bag, to reduce our use of plastic. We have also opted for a stand up pouch, rather than a tub, to keep your product fresh and safe, while using less plastic.
Is Vitimum Original Certified Vegetarian or Vegan?
No. Vitimum Original contains omega 3, which is derived from fish oil, so is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. However, it is lactose and gluten free.
My midwife said I only need folic acid and vitamin D, and our bodies just discard any excess supplements, is this true?
This is true. If your body doesn’t need any additions supplements you are taking, then they will be succeeded by your organs- because our bodies are so smart like that!
However, in pregnancy, particularly when you have lots of morning sickness, you are probably not consuming enough vitamins. This can continue into motherhood, where you might not have the time to be eating full meals and varied diet. Nutritional deficiencies can often be masked, as mothers often put their tiredness down to lack of sleep, when there could be other factors at play.
What is the protein source? I.e. is it Whey or Soya?
The protein we have used is Pea Protein. We chose it as it is dairy and gluten free as well as a great natural source of iron. There are 16.1 grams of Pea protein per serving of Vitimum Original (25 grams per serving, 15 servings per pack).
How is Vitimum different to other Protein Shakes?
Vitimum is a protein powder with added pre-natal and postnatal vitamins. It has been developed with a nutritionist specialising in women's' health, so that it has all the key vitamins needed during pregnancy and postnatal period.
